Common Faults and Troubleshooting of Chain Saw

1. If the chain saw stops running after refueling, works less vigorously, or the heater overheats, etc

It is generally the problem of the filter. Therefore, the filter shall be checked before work. The clean and qualified filter shall be clear and bright when it is aimed at sunlight, otherwise it is unqualified. When the filter of chain saw is not clean enough, it shall be cleaned and dried with hot soapy water. Only a clean filter can ensure the normal use of the chain saw.

2. When the saw teeth are not sharp

The sawtooth chain cutting teeth can be trimmed with a special file to ensure the sharpness of the sawtooth. At this time, it should be noted that when filing, it should be done along the cutting direction, not in the opposite direction. At the same time, the angle between the file and chain of chain saw should not be too large, which should be 30 degrees.

3. Before using the chain saw, the chain oil of the chain saw should be added. The advantage of this is that it can provide lubrication for the chain saw, reduce the friction heat between the chain saw and the guide plate of the chain saw, protect the guide plate, and protect the chain saw from premature scrapping.

4. After the chain saw is used, it should also be maintained, so that the work efficiency can be guaranteed when the chain saw is used again next time. First, remove the impurities in the oil inlet hole at the root of the chain saw guide plate and the guide plate groove to ensure the smoothness of the oil inlet hole. Secondly, clear the sundries in the guide plate head and add a few drops of engine oil.

5. Chain saw cannot be started

Check whether there is water in the fuel or unqualified mixed oil is used, and replace it with proper fuel.

Check whether there is water in the engine cylinder. Solution: Remove and dry the spark plug, and then pull the starter again.

Check the spark strength. Solution: replace the spark plug with a new one or adjust the ignition gap of the motor.

6. Chain saw power is insufficient

Check whether there is water in the fuel or unqualified mixed oil is used, and replace it with proper fuel.

Check whether the air filter and fuel filter are blocked and remove them.

Check whether the carburetor is poorly adjusted. Solution: readjust the chain saw carburetor.

7. No oil can be discharged from the chain saw

Check whether there is any unqualified oil and replace it.

Check whether the oil passage and orifice are blocked and remove them.

Check whether the oil filter head in the oil tank is placed properly. Excessive bending of the oil pipe may lead to blockage of the oil circuit or blockage of the oil filter head. Solution: Place it as required to ensure normal oil absorption.
